My first Envoyage Summit with the xtravel team is done, and what a few days it was!
We headed over to Adelaide for the conference and managed to fit a lot in. From staying at the beautiful Playford Hotel, to a long lunch at Longview Winery, the supplier showcase and plenty of time catching up with people across the Envoyage community, it was a really great few days.
We even had a bit of fun with the dress code and turned up in spacesuits. It was definitely one way to stand out, and now I'm curious to see what we come up with for next year. Who knows what we'll be wearing then!
There was also plenty to celebrate. xtravel came away with Division of the Year, Air New Zealand Top Selling Business, Singapore Airlines Top Supporting Business, Envoyage Icon and High Flyer. Our own Tori also picked up the PONANT Spirit of Exploration Award, which was such a cool achievement and very well deserved.
As this was my first conference with xtravel, it was pretty special to be there and experience it all with the team. There is so much work that goes on behind the scenes to look after our customers and create the experiences we do, so seeing that recognised was a really proud moment.
The supplier showcase was another highlight for me. We work with so many amazing suppliers, and having the chance to actually catch up in person, have a yarn and hear what's happening in the industry was awesome. We're incredibly lucky with the support we receive from our suppliers, and those relationships make such a difference to what we can do for our customers.
A special shoutout to Kobe at Qantas as well for looking after us in the First Class Lounge at Sydney Airport on the way home. It was a pretty great way to end the trip and very much appreciated!
Longview Winery was another standout. A long lunch with good food, good wine and great company in such a beautiful setting was definitely a highlight.
What I really enjoyed about the Summit, though, was the sense of community. It was awesome to meet people from across Envoyage, share ideas, celebrate each other's wins and spend some time with people who are just as passionate about travel as we are.
Coming home, I'm feeling incredibly proud to be part of the xtravel team. We get to do something pretty cool every day by helping our customers plan and experience trips they'll remember for years to come, and it's awesome to be part of a team that genuinely cares about getting those experiences right.
The awards are a pretty special recognition of the work that goes into that, but the people, the relationships and the community around us are what really make it.
A massive few days, plenty of laughs, some very good food and wine, a few new memories, and hopefully not our last spacesuit adventure.
